Media Services

Media Accreditation
Registration in the LOC registration system is mandatory for all Media representatives. Media registration process runs from May 17 to November 1, 2021.

To have an access to the system, each Media should appoint one representative from the organization (an account administrator) responsible for the registration process, and send a request to indicating the name of the organization, media category, projected number of Media representatives from organization, full name of the employee and e-mail address.

Having successfully completed the registration process, Media representatives will obtain personalized badges.

Visa Support for Foreign Media Representatives
The procedures for providing media visas to foreign media representatives to enter the Russian Federation will be published no later than 31 May 2021.
Assistance in Customs Procedures
Guidelines for individuals crossing the border of the Eurasian Economic Union, containing recommendations regarding the import of professional equipment by media representatives will be posted on the website no later than 1 November 2021.
Arrival and Departure
On arrival and departure days, media representatives staying at the official media hotel will be offered free shuttle service from the official arrival point to the official media hotel and back.

To use this service, media representatives should indicate their accommodation address while in Kazan — an official media hotel, and date and time of their arrival and departure in the Accreditation System. Data should be entered no later than 21 December 2021. In case the data is entered after the stated date, the Organizing Committee cannot guarantee the provision of transportation to the official media hotel.
Media representatives are offered to stay at the official media hotels. The list of official media hotels and booking procedures will be made available at a later date.

The advantages of staying at an official media hotel are its location in the city center and organized transfer from the hotel to the competition and ceremony venues during the Games.

Media representatives may choose any other location for their stay in Kazan. However, it should be taken into account that in this case the Organizers do not provide assistance in booking and consultations regarding room categories.
On days of competition, shuttles will be provided for the registered media to travel from the official media hotels to the competition and ceremony venues. Access to shuttles for official media representatives will be carried out based on a badge.

The schedule of the media shuttle, as well as the routes, will be available on the website not later than 20 days before the start of the Games.

Upon collection of a badge, media representatives will be provided with a card enabling them to use public transport (metro, tramways, trolley buses, buses), except for taxi, free of charge in the lead-up to and during the Games on 19-30 January 2022 (12 days).

Additionally, the LOC can provide the contacts of the transport company for car rental.

Each Games venue will have dedicated parking spots for Media.
During the day, in the media centers at the Games venues, beverages will be available, including hot and cold drinks and light snacks.
Media Zones

The Main Media Center will be located on Floor 3 of the Kazan Tennis Academy and will feature:

welcome zone;


dining area;

press conference room;

interview room.


The following media zones will be arranged at the Games competition venues.

Media Center – the main area for media representatives at the Games competition and ceremony venues equipped with workstations, providing media representatives with the opportunity to connect their own equipment to the power supply and the Internet (SCS port and Wi-Fi), as well as an info desk, and areas for recreation and coffee breaks. The venue media centers will be open: two hours before that start of competitions, two hours after the end of competitions (during the Games).

Photo and Video Positions – reserved areas for photographers and camera people. Photo and video positions will be accessed provided that there is a badge and a special vest or an armband, which can be obtained at the media centers' info desks.

Mixed Zone – an area reserved for media representatives to communicate with athletes. The work schedule of mixed zones will be made available before the start of competitions.
